On Thursday morning, Aug. 29 at Fire Station 2 on Cape San Blas, Cindy and Brendan and Murphy, at right, presented a $5,000 check on behalf of The Murphy Family Foundation to the non-profit South Gulf County Volunteer Fire Department to help support South Gulf County Fire and Rescue’s beach safety and water rescue programs, first responders and beach warning flag program. On hand to receive the donation were Valerie Homan, SGCVFD 501(c)3 treasurer, at left, and George Bisoglio, newly elected board member and certified water rescue volunteer.
